Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said Monday that the steadfastness of the Israeli civilian population is key to successfully continuing the fight against the Iranian-backed Lebanese Hezbollah militia.
“We are intensifying our attacks in Lebanon,” Gallant said during a meeting on the further escalation of the conflict with Hezbollah.
He stated that this would continue until Israel achieved its goal of allowing the residents of the northern part of the country to return home safely.
“We still have days ahead of us when the public must show calm, discipline and full compliance with instructions from home,” Gallant said.
He added that lives could be saved during attacks from Lebanon because people had sought shelter in Israel.
