Lebanon’s Hezbollah militia is under increasing pressure from the Israeli military, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has said. Gallant’s office quoted him as saying that Hezbollah now feels like it is being pursued.
The Israeli air force said it had struck hundreds of positions belonging to the pro-Iranian Hezbollah militia. Hezbollah, in turn, attacked northern Israel with heavy rocket fire.
Gallant says Israel’s attacks will continue until it can ensure that residents of northern Israeli cities can return home. He says that is the goal and mission, and that Israel will do whatever it takes to achieve that.
