PakTech has received official approval for its can carriers, which are approved by the Association of Plastic Recyclers.
According to Packaging worldThe APR’s approval recognizes that the four- and six-pack 202 Standard Carriers, which are premium packaging for 16-ounce cans, fully recyclable within the North American system. This is great news for reducing waste.
The can carriers are fully recyclable because they are made of HDPE plastic. This creates a circular product which means there is no more plastic waste and the plastic can be recycled and used for as long as possible.
This PakTech products have already received recyclability certificates within the European Union and Australia, Packaging world observed, so this latest achievement shows its customers once again that the company takes sustainability and reducing its impact on the environment seriously.
Gary Panknin, Sustainability Officer at PakTech, said“The APR recognition confirms that PakTech products are not only part of the circular economy by keeping valuable materials reused, but are also designed for recyclability, where the material can be recollected and recycled for further reuse in existing end markets. It doesn’t get much better than this!”
