TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – A northeasterly wind has picked up, which will help keep things a little drier for the next few days. There is a 20% chance of a quick, passing shower this afternoon. Showers will generally move out into the Gulf of Mexico by early evening.
It will remain quite warm into the weekend, but it will not be extremely humid. Highs will remain in the low 90s with only a 20% chance of rain each afternoon. Showers will once again move toward the Gulf in the evening.
The dry period will continue until Tuesday and temperatures will be around 32 degrees.
Our long-term forecast is heavily dependent on what happens in the tropics. The potential system hasn’t formed yet, so the models can’t get a good handle on it yet. Most models see something developing in the western Caribbean early next week, and then it drifts north. A lot will change as the system forms, so stay tuned.
