Ukraine’s cabinet is likely to be reshuffled after three ministers resigned.

Their requests will be considered in the next parliamentary session, parliament speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.

The ministers involved are Olexander Kamyshin, responsible for the defense industry, Justice Minister Denys Maliuska and Environment Minister Ruslan Strilets.

Vitali Koval, the head of the State Property Fund responsible for privatization, also wants to resign.

The leader of the presidential party Servants of the People, David Arakhamia, announced that further changes would be made to the cabinet.

According to Arakhamia, there will be new appointments for more than half of all ministries. The final list will be announced during the parliamentary group meeting on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the director of electricity grid operator Ukrenergo will also have to be replaced, after reports emerged that director Volodymyr Kudrytskyi was dismissed by the state-owned company’s board of directors.

Kudrytskyi had been head of Ukrenergo since 2020, but was recently accused of failing to take protective measures for the country’s substations against Russian drone and missile attacks.

Since the massive Russian missile and drone attack on Ukrainian energy infrastructure early last week, Ukraine has again been experiencing hours of unplanned power outages.

Ukraine has been holding off a Russian invasion for more than two and a half years. The government under Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has been in power since March 2020.
