Pope’s visit to Indonesia leads to false claim of ‘Jakarta vacation’

The head of the world’s 1.3 billion Catholics is on a visit Indonesia September 3-6, meeting with religious leaders at Southeast Asia’s largest mosque and holding mass for tens of thousands of people at a Jakarta football stadium (archived link).

In the video, Heru told reporters: “We announce to the people that on September 3, 4, 5 and 6, the guest of the state, His Holiness Pope Francis, will arrive.”

At the 2:03 pointHe suggested that residents “decide for themselves to work from home”, as Jakarta’s public transport chief warned against using the capital’s three main roads.
