The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said on Monday that it had struck Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) struck “Hezbollah military structures and a launch facility” overnight in the areas of Kfarkela, Taybeh, Hanine and Yarine, near the Lebanon-Israel border, the IDF reported in a Telegram message.

The IAF also struck a “Hezbollah military structure” in Khirbet Selm, also in southern Lebanon, on Sunday, the IDF said.

Since the start of the war between Israel and the Palestinian militant organization Hamas in Gaza in October last year, fighting has taken place almost daily in Lebanon between the Israeli army and the pro-Iranian Hezbollah in the border area between the two countries.

There have been casualties on both sides, most of them members of Hezbollah, which says it stands in solidarity with Hamas.
