JERUSALEM (AP) — Israel said Saturday it has rescued four hostages kidnapped in a Hamas-led attack on Oct. 7.

The army said it rescued Noa Argamani (25), Almog Meir (January 21), Andrey Kozlov (27) and Shlomi Ziv (40) during a complex daytime special operation in Nuseirat.

The hostages were rescued at two separate locations in the heart of Nuseirat, the report said.

Hamas kidnapped some 250 hostages during its attack on southern Israel on October 7. About half were released during a weeklong ceasefire in November.

Israel says there are still more than 130 hostages, about a quarter of whom are believed dead. Divisions in the country are growing over the best way to bring them home.

Saturday’s operation is the largest recovery of living hostages since the outbreak of war, bringing the total number of prisoners rescued to seven.
