Ingeteam has secured a supply contract for the 93 MW Girgarre solar farm project in Victoria, Australia.
Ingeteam supplies its advanced power electronics technology, including 15 transformers or power plants as a turnkey solution, and a power plant control system.
The Girgarre Solar Farm in Campaspe Shire, Victoria, is owned by Enel Green Power Australia (EGPA) and will generate enough clean energy to power 43,000 Australian homes annually.
The construction phase will last 18 months and the expected life of the factory is 35 years.
Construction of the solar park began in August 2023 and the investment amounts to over AUD 140 million (USD 94.6 million).
Beon Energy Solutions is responsible for the construction of the project.

Ingeteam’s involvement in the Girgarre project adds to Ingeteam’s growing portfolio in Australia, marking ten years since the Australian subsidiary was established in November 2013.
In January 2023, Enel Green Power Australia an agreement has been reached to acquire the 1GW Julia Creek renewable energy project in Australia from QEM.
The 1GW facility is located near QEM’s Julia Creek vanadium and oil shale project in north-west Queensland.
Enel will make an upfront payment of AUD 3 million, followed by two conditional milestone payments totalling AUD 4 million and an additional conditional milestone payment upon final investment decision.
