A Jersey charity has launched an appeal for more donations to help fund Christmas presents for children in Ukraine and Romania.

Mustard Seed Jersey wants to send shoeboxes full of items such as toiletries, canned food and toys during the holidays.

The company said it plans to send thousands of packages this year as part of its Christmas shoebox campaign.

The charity’s Rose Helie said islanders can choose to send their boxes to Romania or Ukraine, but if they have a specific choice they must donate by October 11.

The closing date for donations is October 29th.
