Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Tehran on Monday that there was no place in the Middle East that Israel could not reach and called on the Iranians to work with the Israelis for peace.

Netanyahu pointed in his video message to Mohammed Deif, a Hamas military leader whom Israel claims he killed in the Gaza Strip in July, and Hassan Nasrallah, the Hezbollah leader who was killed in Beirut last week.

“Ask Mohammed Deif. Ask Nasrallah. There is no place in the Middle East that Israel cannot reach. There is no place we will not go to protect our people and our country,” he said.

The current government was bringing the Iranian people “closer to the abyss,” he said.

“When Iran is finally free, and that moment will come much sooner than people think, everything will be different. Our two ancient peoples, the Jewish people and the Persian people, will finally have peace,” Netanyahu said.

He predicted that Iran would prosper like never before. “May we know together a future of prosperity and peace,” Netanyahu concluded.

Netanyahu spoke as the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) continued airstrikes on Lebanon and appeared to prepare a ground invasion of the country.
