Two drones were fired at the southern Israeli port city of Eilat on Wednesday evening, the Israeli military (IDF) reported.
One of the drones was intercepted, while the other hit the port area and exploded, injuring two people and causing a fire, said Daniel Hagari, spokesman for the Israeli army.
Hagari did not comment on reports that the drones were launched by pro-Iranian militias in Iraq.
Since the Gaza war began almost a year ago, there have been repeated attacks by Iran’s allies in the so-called “Axis of Resistance” against Israel. These include militias in Iraq and Houthi rebels in Yemen.
