Israeli soldiers have recovered the bodies of five hostages in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military said on Thursday.
The Israeli military said the bodies were recovered in southern Gaza on Wednesday and brought to Israel.
Among them is a 56-year-old woman who, according to the army, lived in a kibbutz on the edge of the closed coastal strip.
She was killed in the October 7 massacre in southern Israel by the Palestinian extremist group Hamas and other militants, and her body was subsequently taken to Gaza, the report said.
The remaining four bodies are soldiers who were also killed in the October 7 attack. Their bodies were also taken to Gaza afterwards.
