Expectations are high that Tesla will unveil a new vehicle to add to its growing product lineup. But if an image of a tiny, yellow thing is the new Tesla, the EV will be tiny and funky, though probably not as bad as the Cybertruck. Yet we still have so many questions.
Tesla driver takes a dip in the Gulf of Mexico.
The image, which has been shared on social media, Redditand elsewhere, was allegedly taken onto Warner Bros property by a Warner Bros employee – or at least that’s the story being told. We know that car manufacturers sometimes “leak” things to create buzz and Tesla would absolutely do something like that.
We can also see that the yellow on the vehicle is a loose wrap and can be almost certain that prosthetic parts have been added underneath the wrap – something that automakers do to maintain the shape of a prototype So journalists and even ordinary people cannot tell much about the final product.
In this case, the small car is shaped almost like a pickup truck with something like a cargo box in the back. But that may all just be a hoax, because we don’t think Tesla is adding a compact truck to its lineup, at least not yet.
The headlights are the absolute proof that this is a Tesla, while the rest of what we can see reveals that there are only two doors and a very short wheelbase. Whatever it is, it won’t be a large or even mid-size EV.
Some believe this is the long-awaited robotaxi, a concept that has been floated by Elon Musk for years. Others think it is the more affordable, entry-level Tesla that has also been talked about for a while.
But it’s possible that those two vehicles share the same platform, so it could be both. Or it could be a Ford Maverick competitor – we’ll see. Whatever it is, this thing is reportedly being unveiled on October 10, so we probably won’t have to wait long for details.
