During a storm at an amusement park in Mexico, several passengers were trapped and dangling in the air.

The ordeal took place on August 18 at Six Flags Mexico.

Rider Omar Hernández Medrano filmed a video of the view from the Sky Screamer ride (also known as Supergirl Sky Flight) when the ride crashed, leaving him and other riders battered by wind and rain.

“We were going up in Supergirl and as we were going up it started raining and it got really bad. When we got up there, with the rain and the ride moving, it stopped and we were stuck at the top for ten minutes in the heavy rain,” Hernández told Storyful.

According to the park’s website, the attraction will be lifted to a height of 74 meters above the ground.

Park officials said in a statement that several attractions were shut down due to the storm and evacuation protocols were being followed.

“Unfortunately, the storm intensified during the evacuation process, causing some uncomfortable moments for our guests. Park staff assisted all guests and there were no reported incidents. Sky Screamer resumed normal operations shortly thereafter,” Six Flags Mexico said.
