Sapphire Mills explained that the main objective of this collaboration is to introduce XLANCE fabrics as a unique range aimed at improving the sustainability of workwear and washable garments.
Fabrics made with XLANCE fibers are said to offer exceptional thermal and chemical resistance. Stretch remains intact even at temperatures up to 220°C and when exposed to harsh chemical detergents and disinfectants.
Sapphire Mills emphasized that the fabric retains its integrity and comfort even after 50 washes, making it ideal for industrial laundering environments. Additionally, the long-lasting stretch is described to ensure comfort and fit over time, reducing the need for frequent replacements.
“In the workwear market, we see a continuous influence and crossover from the clothing and sportswear sectors. As a result, more users are looking for workwear that is both stylish and comfortable. XLANCE fiber is the perfect solution to meet these requirements, allowing the industry to develop unique and innovative products,” says Costantino Colnaghi, CEO of XLANCE Srl.
Sapphire Mills added that this collaboration underscores both companies’ commitment to sustainability and innovation. By integrating XLANCE fibers, Sapphire Mills enhances its workwear fabrics and aligns them with global sustainability trends, with significant impact expected in rental, industrial laundry, medical, hospitality and military sectors.
“Our partnership with XLANCE Srl marks an exciting step forward in enhancing our workwear fabrics with sustainable stretch technology. By integrating XLANCE fibers, we increase the durability and comfort of our products while staying true to our commitment to quality and innovation,” exclaimed Yousuf Abdullah, CEO of Sapphire Mills.
Sapphire Mills further emphasized that it is one of the few mills that is able to fully capitalize on what it calls the “exceptional” stretch properties of XLANCE fiber, making this partnership a logical step in their shared commitment to innovation.
Both companies claimed that they wanted to set the standard for high-performance, sustainable and resistant elastic yarns in workwear, emphasising the key role of this collaboration in improving stretch workwear fabrics and stimulating future textile innovations.
