KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Russian forces launched a massive drone and missile bombardment campaign on Ukraine early Monday, targeting several regions of the country, the Ukrainian Air Force said.
The attack, which began around midnight and is still ongoing, appears to be the largest in weeks and targeted the country’s energy infrastructure.
According to the air force, several groups of Russian drones were heading towards the eastern, northern, southern and central regions of Ukraine, followed by multiple cruise and ballistic missiles.
Officials said explosions were heard in the capital Kiev and power was disrupted in some parts of the city.
