ROANOKE, Virginia.WFXR) – The chance for daily showers and thunderstorms continues this week as a warm front remains to the north and warm, moist air from the Gulf of Mexico continues to flow into the region.
The biggest threat this week looks set to be heavy rainfall, with 1 to 2 inches expected. Locally, larger amounts will fall in thunderstorms.
Areas of fog are possible overnight as most of the rain clears. Showers and thunderstorms are expected by midday, continuing into the evening.
Temperatures will rise slightly on Tuesday with highs in the 70s and 80s. Parts of the south will approach 90. Temperatures will start the day around 70.
Temperatures will remain around 27 degrees Celsius for the coming week, with lows of around 21 degrees Celsius at night.
