ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Rain patches return to the region on Saturday, with heavy rain at times as moisture from the Gulf of Mexico heads our way.
On Saturday, one to two centimetres of rain is expected, with more thunderstorms in places.
Although heavy rain is possible from thunderstorms, parts of the Southside could see a stronger storm. Strong, gusty winds are possible.
On Saturday, rain or thunderstorms are possible all day long, but the chances are greatest in the afternoon and evening.
Increasing cloud cover will keep temperatures low on Saturday, with highs around 21-27 degrees Celsius.
A little more sunshine is expected on Sunday, bringing temperatures back up to 80 degrees. Temperatures will remain above 80 degrees until midweek, with a daily chance of showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures will drop back down to the mid-80s on Thursday.
