Iran has launched a missile attack on Israel, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said on Tuesday.
“All Israeli citizens are in bomb shelters while missiles from Iran are fired at Israel,” it wrote on X.
A dpa correspondent reported loud explosions in Tel Aviv. The Iranian news agencies ISNA and Tasnim also reported the start of the attack.
Previously, the US government had warned of an “imminent” Iranian attack on Israel, warning that such a direct attack could have serious consequences for Tehran.
