TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Rain chances will increase in the afternoon and evening hours as ocean breezes move inland. Storms will start near the coast and spread inland, with late-day downpours drifting back toward the Gulf of Mexico.
If it doesn’t rain, it will be foggy with highs in the low 90s and heat index values in the low 100s. Foggy conditions will persist with Saharan dust over the state.
Scattered afternoon storms expected for the coming days. Chance of rain decreases slightly for the rest of the week.
A few earlier showers are possible next week. Highs will remain slightly above average in the low 90s each afternoon.
