Mandarin Oriental opens new resort and residences in Bali

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced plans to open a new luxury resort and branded residences on the Bukit Peninsula in Bali, Indonesia.

The development is scheduled for 2027 and is a collaboration with real estate developer Harmoni Bali.

Mandarin Oriental, Bali will feature 110 suites and villas, all designed to blend in with the natural surroundings. They feature a private terrace or garden, and most have their own swimming pool.

The property offers unique dining options including a cliff-top restaurant and bar, a Chinese specialty restaurant, a bar, a spa and a beach club.

Design Lab architects Jeffrey Wilkes are responsible for the architecture and interior, while Bill Bensley is responsible for the landscape design.

The resort also features wellness facilities including heat and water therapies, outdoor pools, private cabanas and a fitness center with outdoor yoga areas.

It also offers a range of leisure activities, such as a children’s club, tennis and paddle courts, water sports, an organic garden and a sustainability laboratory.

The hotel is a 30-minute drive from Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport and close to tourist destinations such as Jimbaran, Uluwatu and Sanur.

It is also located next to Bukit Pandawa Golf Course and close to Bali National Golf Club.

The branded residences within the resort consist of 68 private villas with three to six bedrooms, situated on an 8-acre site above the hotel.

In addition to the resort’s facilities, residents also have access to exclusive clubhouse amenities including lounge facilities, co-working spaces, function rooms and a private gym and swimming pool.

Last month, Mandarin Oriental reached the significant milestone of 40 operating hotels worldwide, following the opening of two buildings in Mayfair, London and Muscat, Oman.
