The Lufthansa Group’s European airlines will not resume flights to Israel, Lebanon or Iran in the near future and have canceled additional scheduled connections due to the growing conflict in the Middle East.
German airline Lufthansa and its subsidiaries have canceled flights via Tel Aviv until October 31 and flights via Beirut until November 30, the airline announced on Tuesday.
Flights to Tehran are also suspended until October 14.
The core brand Lufthansa Airline had already decided to suspend flights to Tehran until October 26. In addition to Eurowings, the Lufthansa Group also includes SWISS, Austrian and Brussels Airlines.
Affected passengers can rebook free of charge to a later travel date or receive a refund of the ticket price.
Due to the tense security situation, Lufthansa has recently repeatedly extended flight stops to the Middle East.
With the recently launched Israeli ground offensive in Lebanon against the Hezbollah militia, the situation in the region continues to escalate.
