GRAND JUNCTION, ColoradoKREX) — The Korean War veterans recognition event has been postponed due to “unforeseen circumstances,” said Courtney Webb, owner of Raven & Wolf Benefits LTD.
The event will be held concurrently with the Vietnam Era Veteran Home and the Pinning Ceremony at 5:30 p.m. on September 4. The location for the event has yet to be determined.
The event was originally scheduled for July 27.
Raven & Wolf Benefits, a veterans and community-based company, has served 120 Vietnam War veterans over the past two years.
At the event, Raven & Wolf said it can assist Korean War veterans and their families in completing applications for the prestigious Ambassador for Peace Medal. The award is given by the South Korean government to honor veterans who served in the war and subsequent peacekeeping missions, Webb said.
