The Israeli military said on Friday it killed two members of the pro-Iranian Hezbollah militia in southern Lebanon, while Hezbollah confirmed the deaths of three of its members so far.
The information could not be independently verified.
The Israeli army reports that it has attacked a military complex of a Shiite militia in the Naqoura area, not far from the Israeli border.
Hezbollah did not specify where or when the three deaths occurred in its confirmation.
It was alleged that it had carried out attacks on targets in northern Israel.
Hezbollah, among other things, fired a “salvo of Katyusha rockets” at Kiryat Shmona in retaliation for the attack on Naqoura, the report said.
Hezbollah and Israel have been fighting daily gun battles since the war in Gaza began in October.
More than 120 civilians have been killed, most of them on the Lebanese side. In addition, more than 350 Hezbollah members and Israeli soldiers have been killed in the conflict.
