The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said the head of Hezbollah’s security unit, Nabil Kaouk, was killed in a targeted attack by Israeli forces.
The IDF described Kaouk as the commander of Hezbollah’s preventive security unit and a member of the Lebanese militia’s executive council. He was “eliminated during a precise IDF attack,” said a message on X.
It added that Kaouk had close ties to Hezbollah’s senior commanders and had been directly involved in terrorist attacks on Israel since joining in the 1980s.
The IDF said it would continue eliminating Hezbollah commanders. No details were provided about the strike’s location or method.
