The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, will travel to Kiev again on Tuesday.

He will also visit the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant in the southeast of the country, the IAEA announced in Vienna on Monday.

Europe’s largest nuclear power plant has been controlled and occupied by Russia since 2022. The facility has been the target of repeated attacks and sabotage, for which Moscow and Kiev blame each other.

Grossi said in mid-August that the security situation was “deteriorating.” He was speaking after an explosion near the plant, which IAEA experts believe was caused by a drone carrying an explosive charge.
