The acquisition combines Hi-Tech’s manufacturing and logistics expertise with Unmade’s technologies to create a leading solution for brands and retailers seeking a better approach to customization.
The Unmade team will also have access to Hi-Tech Apparel’s extensive resources, expertise and customer base.
Unmade’s technology enables brands to convert designs into production-ready data, reducing minimum order quantities, reducing waste and improving manufacturer responsiveness.
The deal between Unmade and Hi-Tech Apparel creates an opportunity to develop a digital, globally distributed manufacturing model to meet customer demand. It builds on Unmade and Hi-Tech’s two-year partnership, which has seen the company successfully supply custom apparel to teams ranging from grassroots clubs to professional athletes and everyone in between.
Hi-Tech Apparel CEO Wason Vitanakorn said: “Unmade fits perfectly with Hi-Tech Apparel’s mission to build the digital infrastructure needed to achieve production distribution across multiple geographies in a demand-driven industry. We have worked closely with the incredibly talented Unmade team for a number of years and believe in their ability to build on what is already industry-leading software to deliver the responsiveness our customers demand.”
