TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – After a quiet morning, it will be humid and blustery this afternoon and early evening. Highs will reach the low 90s today with heat index values near 105.
Storms developing in the afternoon will move toward the Gulf of Mexico in the evening. Some of these storms will produce heavy rain showers late in the day, especially along and west of I-75. Use caution during your evening drive.
The chance of rain will not be as great for the rest of the week. Storms will still develop in the afternoon and move towards the coast in the evening, but the coverage and intensity will not be as high.
The rest of the week temperatures will remain slightly above average, between 35 and 45 degrees.
