Two right-wing nationalist Israeli ministers have expressed satisfaction over the death of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.
“Haniyeh’s death makes the world a little better,” Israel’s Heritage Minister Amichay Eliyahu wrote on Platform X.
Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli posted a photo of Haniyeh at a rally demanding the “death of Israel.” “Be careful what you wish for,” he wrote in the caption.
There were initially no official statements from the Israeli government or military about Haniyeh’s killing in an attack on his Tehran estate. Hamas has blamed Israel for the attack.
