Air traffic at Germany’s largest airport in Frankfurt has partially resumed after activists from the climate group Last Generation managed to gain access to the airport grounds.

Take-offs and landings have resumed at the airport, but not all runways are fully operational yet, an airport spokesperson said Thursday morning.

Police vehicles are parked on the tarmac at Frankfurt Airport. Air traffic has been temporarily halted due to a climate activist campaign.
