The European Commission will provide Ukraine with a new loan of up to €35 billion ($39 billion), European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced in Kiev on Friday.
“The continued Russian attacks mean that Ukraine needs continued support from the EU,” von der Leyen wrote in a post on X.
“This is another important contribution from the EU to Ukraine’s recovery,” she added.
Von der Leyen made the announcement during a visit to Kiev to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
