Rescue workers have saved the baby of a heavily pregnant Palestinian woman who was killed in an Israeli attack in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian media reported.
The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported on Saturday, citing al-Awda hospital in Nueseriat, that the baby was born in emergency surgery. The newborn is now being treated at the hospital in the central Gaza Strip and is said to be in stable condition, the agency said.
Palestinian media reported that a total of eight people were killed in the Israeli army attack on a residential building in the refugee neighborhood in the coastal strip. An Israeli army spokesman said after an investigation that the reports were being investigated.
