Recently released satellite images show the devastation caused by flood in the center Europe in the past week.
Multiple deaths and massive destruction in cities have been reported in Poland, Romania, Austria and the Czech Republic as rivers burst their banks due to heavy rainfall.
According to Reuters, at least 23 people have died of the floods across Europe. Four deaths have been reported in the Czech Republic. Seven people have been killed in Romania and Poland. Five people are dead in Austria.
Images from Maxar Technologies show flood damage in Stronie Śląskie, a town in Klodzko County, Poland. On Sunday, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said Klodzko County was the worst-hit area in the country, according to Reuters.
The photos show that roads have been washed away, flooding is still occurring in the city and the ground where the floodwaters have receded is covered in mud.
In more before and after photos from Maxar Technologies, houses Fields in another part of the city were also damaged by floodwaters from the Biala Ladecka River.

The first image from February 2019 shows a river flowing under a bridge through the city. In the after image, remains of that bridge can be seen along the flooded river.
Buildings damaged by floodwaters, debris and mud are also visible. The bridge in the city was washed away on Sunday, according to Reuters.
A closer photo shows more damage to houses and fields in Glucholazy.
More images from Maxar Technologies show the devastation also being wreaked in parts of the Czech Republic.
Thousands of people were evacuated in the Czech Republic over the weekend due to flooding, according to Reuters.
In Mikulovice, Czech Republic, river water flooded the town, submerging homes and buildings, satellite imagery from Maxar Technologies shows.
In the city of Ostrava, dozens of buildings and fields can be seen underwater. Satellite images of Kravare, Czech Republic, also show hundreds of homes and businesses under water.
According to Reuters, water levels in the Czech Republic largely fell on Wednesday, but in some parts of the country rivers still reached their highest point.
