Alarming news emerged from Spain on Wednesday evening regarding the father of Barcelona star Lamine Yamal.
This comes after it was previously confirmed that the 17-year-old’s father, Mounir Nasraoui, was the victim of a stabbing this evening.
In the news first reported by The Vanguardiaand since then, supported by a large number of other sources, Mounir Nasraoui was attacked and injured in a parking lot in the city of Mataró, in Catalonia, Spain.
Relevo has since provided more insight into the situation and assured that Nasraoui fortunately did not suffer any serious injuries:
‘As this newspaper has been able to find out, the footballer’s father is currently at home after being discharged from hospital. He is out of danger.’
A police investigation into the incident has now been launched, with more details expected to be released in the coming hours and days.
