WATKINS GLEN, NY (WHAT) – Authorities have released the names of the two people killed in a car crash in Watkins Glen over the weekend.
According to the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office, 55-year-old Manjula Velikanti and 61-year-old Prasad Velikanti, both from India, were killed after the vehicle they were in was struck by another car at the intersection of County Road 16 and County Road 17 in Watkins Glen shortly before 11 a.m. on Sunday, October 13.

The 30-year-old driver of the car was not injured and was issued a summons for failure to yield the right of way.
The driver and passenger of the other vehicle involved were not injured in the crash.
