At least 19 people have been killed in ongoing Israeli attacks in Lebanon as of Wednesday morning, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
According to the ministry, nearly 100 people were injured in the strikes.
The attacks hit the towns of Ain Kana and Bint Jubayl in the south of the country. The towns of Maaysra, north of Beirut, and Joun near the coastal city of Sidon were also hit.
An attack in the southern Lebanese town of Tebnine alone wounded 27 people, while multiple airstrikes in the Bekaa Valley injured 38 people, the Health Ministry said.
Meanwhile, the Shiite Hezbollah militia continued to bombard targets in Israel, announcing that it had fired dozens of rockets at the city of Hazor Ashdod and a military base in the north of the country.
The Israeli military reported that about 40 rockets had been fired from Lebanon, some of which had been intercepted.
According to the Israeli military, one rocket hit a nursing home for the elderly near Safed in the north of the country. There were no casualties.
