In western Germany, another person has been rescued alive from the rubble of a partially collapsed hotel.
An emergency services spokesman said on Wednesday that one person was still trapped in the remains of the building and that rescuers were in contact with them.
The spokesperson said the location is currently stable and it is hoped the trapped person will be reached before sunset. There was initially no information on the extent of their injuries.
Late on Tuesday evening, a floor of a hotel in the town of Kröv on the Moselle collapsed.
Two people were killed, a woman born in 1961, and a man whose body has not yet been recovered. Among the rescued were a 2-year-old boy and his mother.
