German authorities said Wednesday that all eight people injured in last week’s deadly knife attack in the western city of Solingen are expected to survive.
Herbert Reul, Interior Minister of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, said the injured would recover.
Three people were killed in the attack in Solingen on Friday, reigniting debates over immigration policy and deportations in Germany. The suspected perpetrator has been identified under German privacy laws as Issa al-H, a 26-year-old Syrian who has been remanded in custody.
The Federal Public Prosecution Service is investigating him for murder and on suspicion of membership of the terrorist group Islamic State.
