Regardless of a possible ceasefire between Israel and the Lebanese Shiite Hezbollah militia, mutual shelling between the two sides continued on Thursday.

The Israeli military said that the western Galilee region in northern Israel was attacked by 45 rockets from Lebanon. Some of them were intercepted by missile defense systems, the rest fell in open areas, the military said.

News site ynet reported a rocket attack on the Mediterranean city of Acre, leaving two people in shock.

Earlier, Israeli fighter jets had fired on targets in southern Lebanon. According to the military, the targets were “Hezbollah military sites, terrorists and weapons storage facilities.”

According to the information provided, the air force attacked 75 “terrorist targets” in southern and northeastern Lebanon during the night.

More than 600 people have been killed in large-scale Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon in recent days, according to Lebanese authorities.
